Boys of Summer by Jessica Brody
3.0
Definitely not my favorite of her books. First of all, I really didn’t like Harper. They were trying to make her into this innocent character, but she just seemed like she didn’t know what she wanted.
Also, I felt like we were coming into the middle of a story. Yes, there was a lot of background info, but it felt like it didn’t flow. I feel like this book could have been a sequel instead (first book about the boys growing up together).
Still, I think if somehow worked (I loved Julie - she was so good for Mike), and I loved the idea of the little island that they all spent summers together. I thought it was an okay book in the end.
