in a desperate need to regain control of her life, music star Skylar Stone flees Hollywood to the small Canadian town of Rose Hill to work with a new music producer. But when her lodging plans get delayed, she ends up staying in a guest house belonging to Weston Belmont, notorious hometown playboy and a big Skylar Stone fan.

This book had a slow start for me, to the point where I worried about DNFing. But I had faith in Elsie Silver and she pulled through. The story does take its time to build up the characters, particularly Skylar because there is so much complicated backstory to her. If you read Wild Love before this, which isn't necessary, but can be helpful, you already know most of West's backstory. The pace picked up in the second half of the book, making it much more fun and exciting. There are also some serious moments that lead to a lot of growth in both main characters.
