I think this is the book that led me to loving a good historical fiction novel. The fact that the Civil War is part of who I am, having grown up in Gettysburg, might have something to do with how much I like this book too. It is a well written book that gives you both sides of the the Civil War and the emotions that went with the division of not only the country but of families.
