oh my heavens, such a brutal story. Unbroken is the wrong title; Not Dead would have been more accurate. its a testament to Hillenbrand's writing that I kept reading because it was brutal, brutal, brutal. Imagine Seabiscuit with all of the painful scenes and none of the glorious ones.
