I enjoyed this a lot, particularly towards the end. The story was very well constructed and I appreciated following the rebellion from conception to grand uprising. The characters were all very endearing by 1/3 of the way through, with a lot of depth and strong relationships.
The Lord Ruler is one of the best seemingly omnipotent looking threats I’ve read, with a literal oppressive aura.
The world building goes just as deep as the characters and I find the erasure  of history excellent for the plot.

Kelsier’s death is very impactful and feels like more than just the mentor dying and passing the legacy to the student although this trope is part of it. The path to uprising also felt suitably difficult with many huge hurdles enriching the journey.

The magic, in addition to being well thought out and consistent, feels very exciting and fluid with the Mistborn and how they’re written - it creates the pictures incredibly well.

There is an issue with women being underrepresented - while we have one excellent female main character, even she has
a romance subplot with a slightly older man
, and the only other two named female characters are
a scheming socialite and a (seemingly) airheaded gossip,
both falling into basic stereotypes.
