Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo

A fun and engaging read, but I had a couple of issues. The end of the book left a few subplots open, either for effect or to set up for later books in the series. I'm not wild about the latter possibility. Is it the author's deal to keep releasing books in various series? Also, the New Haven police detective is a great character in this book, but the backstory revealed didn't quite work for me. There were some contradictions that made it sound off.
