“Who needs men, anyway? Not when there’s an endless supply of smutty audiobooks and wine to keep me company.”

🍷 Second Chance
🚨 Romantic Suspense
🍷 Forced Proximity
🚨 Small Town
🍷 Latinx Rep
🚨 Dual Timeline

Double Barrel was one of my anticipated releases for 2025 and it did not disappoint! Elyse and Dominic are everything and I could see so much of my own feelings and hurt in each of them.
The yearning, the guilt, and tension. Their story is so raw and tbh I felt myself crying and cheering for them through the entire book! I loved Elyse’s wit and independence. I loved Dominic’s determination and romanticism.
The suspense element was SO well done. I thought I had the suspect narrowed down. I was down right convinced I knew. To say I was shocked would be an understatement! I was kept on my toes the entire way.
I so appreciated the decent into obsession and madness by the suspect too. It seemed almost innocent or like nothing, easy to ignore at first but the gradual ramp up was so good and realistic. It was terrifying in the best way.
Following up Rare Blend would be a hard task, because it was an incredible book and one of my favorite romance books of all time. But Double Barrel is somehow even better! It had everything I could possibly want in a book and more. From the pining you get from a second chance couple to the out of this world spice to the mystery murder and stalking plot. I devoured this book and already want to go back in for seconds!
Thank you endlessly to Michelle and her team for trusting me to receive an ARC of Double Barrel! I could not be more honored to have read this early and now the world needs to read this too!
