i don’t know what to say honestly. everything picked up in the last 100 pages but the pacing throughout was off and kind of slow, roma and juliette’s relationship (and themselves as individuals) didn’t really hit me until closer to the endpoint than the beginning! there were a lot of beautifully crafted lines tho!! also this kind of felt more like sci-fi than fantasy?? but anyway the fantasy element itself (the monster) wasn’t a pressing issues to me as a reader honestly lol
