fails to offer any real insight or meaningful takeaways on love. pretty boring all in all; sure he’s a good writer but i hardly cared about a single character in any of the stories. honestly the patriarchy puts men at a huge disadvantage when talking about love; in my experience they often just don’t get it like female writers do and that is glaringly obvious in this case. this did not give me anything to think about, nor did it particularly engage me while reading, each of which alone would be enough to make me dislike the book; together, they really hammer the last nail into the coffin of this collection.
