This work highlights complex identities and experiences Bri has as a young black female rapper. She is trying to support her family, deal with her grief over the loss of her father, and learn about who she wants to be and how she wants to represent herself in the world. I listened to this work as an audiobook and it was a powerful experience. I highly recommend this work.
