Did not finish book. Stopped at 18%.

I lost interest very quickly. The characters were 'pals' way too fast and I don't know... I guess the whole bumbling semi police detective needing this much help is slightly annoying to me. I get that this kind of detecting was still in its infancy at the time, but what do ya know, luckily he's gonna have the knowledgable American right there to basically teach him everything he needs to know... whatever, I don't care.
