If you have an understanding in religion and European history this book will be absolutely enthralling for you. Luzia was wholly herself through the entire book which was actually refreshing instead of a huge change in character mid way through like many other books. The romance was very convincing in terms of time spent “falling” and very Bitter sweet at the end. Some characters are perfectly detestable and I loved that they were absolutely unredeemable- and got what they deserved.
Minor: Sexual harassment
One of the characters is quite graphic about specific sexual encounters from her past. It is brief but is meant to shock her conversation partners. So it may be a tad shocking to the reader as well.
