This book was just “eh”. It was a slow read, the characters weren’t likable (don’t even get me started on the kids), it was unbelievable, too many story lines, and then the ending was wrapped up quickly. The story finally started to speed up on page 360 but the ending was a bit unbelievable and you didn’t get full closure. It just seemed like a lot of random elements were thrown in that didn’t need to be. Also characters’ personalities changed and they did actions that had didn’t make sense for the personality/past actions we were shown. I wasn’t invested and it just made for a disappointing read.
