What a wonderful graphic novel depicting the lived realities of gay Asians, from drag queens to 'rice chasers' to newbies who have essentially abandoned everything they knew and love in the effort to find a found family. It's totally compelling as we watch all the various characters grow and experience all sorts of budding romances, terrible first dates, and coming outs of various kinds. It's a reflective, often sad, but extremely hopeful book.
