By no means am I an Indonesian-Chinese, let alone an immigrant, but as an Asian, I HAVE NEVER FELT MORE EXPOSED. This book is such an entertaining light-hearted read that has me giggle and even laugh all over it, especially in the first chapters. The plot became so wild and very unrealistic as we went throughout the later chapters, but kudos to the author for portraying Asian chaotic culture in a very relatable and hilarious way that I just couldn’t put the book down. I also couldn’t stop thinking about my own Mother and how she would say the exact same thing as Ma and the Aunties…
