In Stars Like Acid by Marissa Lupe the earth is dying and a restistance against the controlling government is brewing. When Tia stumbles across a dark secret she maybe gets a chance at freedom. When Tia meets Annabelle, secrets are coming out.

This story is amazing and a great suprise as I really had not a good idea what I was going to read. But the writing style is great and the plot just sucks you in. The dual POV made that I could not stop reading. As a great Hunger Games fan this is just my kind of book and there are much similarities. Both women are wonderful and come across great.

The worldbuilding is complex, but you can follow all really well. It is a dystopian story, with likable characters, a great plot with twists and turns in unique setting, and with a memerizing writing style.

Highly recommended.
