i guess tolstoy was right. cousinhood IS a dangerous neighborhood

the writing style of this was very descriptively rich, which i enjoyed, & god damn that ending (by which i mostly mean the last page) was effective. but this also dragged WAY longer than it needed to. next time i want a story about a couple who murders someone and then steadily psychologically disintegrates i'll just reread macbeth because that has actual plot after the murder part
