Torn

I can't believe how hooked I am on this trilogy. I still don't like Wendy because she's still spoiled and ungrateful. But upon further reading I've realized that Wendy and Finn's romance occured rather abruptly probably because she enjoyed having a strong, handsome young man take care of her.
In this book Wendy learns about her father, the Vittra king and the fall of the Trylle tribe if she is unable to become a good queen. A new character is introduced, the charming Vittra Markis named Loki. I loved him immediately. Of course, Wendy only had eyes for Finn even when Tove and Loki proposed to her. Damn. Even Rhys didn't have much of a part in this book. It all revolved around keeping the peace between Vittra and Trylle as long as the Queen was still alive and Wendy was still training.
I liked the fact that Elora's history was finally explained because I just knew she couldn't be a bad person. Everything she did was for her kingdom and for her daughter but she still grows weak.
So I enjoyed this book and I'm excited to read the final installment in the series. I know it's going to be a happily ever after between Wendy and Finn but I really like Tove and Loki. I want them to be happy too. Hopefully they'll find their soulmates.
