The romantic relationship in this book has reasonably fast pacing, which makes sense since Tom and Brynn's relationship starts as a one night stand. After being treated as dispensable by her ex-husband, Tom in comparison is selfless and caring with Brynn. They have fun together and both of them have healthy platonic relationship with their friends. A lot of the interactions with the side characters were as fun and entertaining as those between Brynn and Tom. Tom is super fun on his own when he's on the page. He's flirtatious, but respectful. He's gregarious and he lights up a room when he walks in. He was very easy to like from the get-go. Brynn is also funny. Her inner monologues especially were humorous and entertaining.  This novel was short, but fun all the way through. I'm looking forward to continue reading more works by this author. This is the second book I've read by them and they have yet to disappoint.
