Frances is the epitome of an overachiever. For years now her life has been dictated by her one goal to study literature at uni, get a good job and have a perfectly normal life. In the meantime, she's the number one fan of a podcast by the very mysterious Radio Silence, about a lonely character trying to escape a dangerous city. What Frances is not expecting is getting to know the elusive Radio and forming bonds that will question her life plans.
Alice Oseman’s second novel is just as heartfelt as her other books. Dealing with parasocial relationships, toxic family relationships and the family you create for yourself, this one was also a perfect blend of emotional and fun.
I’ve been stuck in the Oseman-verse since watching Heartstopper seasons 2&3, and this one definitely helped although I'm not sure I'm ready to leave her affirming and gentle world for another type of book quite yet.
