since the world-building was already established, this was so much more enjoyable than caraval (but that was also 5 stars so idk what to tell u rn). my whole reading experience was so immersive and i got through the middle portion (~200pgs) in what felt like minutes. the plot was enthralling and i loved the characters, especially tella. (i also love dante sm) and the writing was absolutely mesmerizing. stephanie garber is very quickly climbing my list of favourite authors and I'm very much looking forward to reading not only finale but also the once upon a broken heart series.
