Devil in Disguise by Lisa Kleypas
5.0

An unmitigated pleasure. So many appearances from others in the Ravenels and Wallflowers series', and Merritt and Keir were delightful and smart and strong and capable and they respected one another. There were no silly complications for the sake of drama, and no problems that could have been cleared up by basic communication. I was charmed start to finish by the story and all the characters. A great vacation read! I have started and restarted my "serious book" and I think I am going to make vacation 100% brainless pleasure reading. That is not to say that this is a brainless book. Lisa Kleypas is a talented writer and her books are well researched and beautiful. The brainlessness is me -- Kleypas gives me a story to sink into, it takes very little from the reader, and sometimes that is exactly what I want.
