X-Men (2024) #2
by Jed Mackay
I was a little confused by some of the storyline and art but happy to trust the process.
Something is making these mutants activate late, or more likely something has changed in their DNA to make them mutants later in life. I thought it was surprising that crazy Ben knew that he was too old to be a mutant but maybe in a world with mutants everyone is just waiting around for adolescence to see if they have powers.
I don't know why Kid Omega's name bothers Scott.
I have no idea what Temper means talking about Quentin's "dumb cartoons." But it looked like Juggernaut was confused too.
I struggled with the on-the-ground alien art when they were in the pile up.
I was a little worried Quentin wasn't paying attention as Juggernaut got into the ship, which actually turned out to be more of a sling shot.
I didn't find Scott's talk with Ben very reassuring. They really need someone like Hank with the "softer touch" to talk these people off the ledge.
So overall looking forward to the next issue. I am clearly just happy to be invited to the party as I'm only understanding about 50% of what I am seeing and reading.
