Lady Luck by Kristen Ashley

I liked this book. I did not like it as much as the others in the series but it was still a good read. I did enjoy the fact that this book was actually connected to the series. To understand the characters in this book you had to have read the previous book which also meant I got to see some of my favorite characters again.

I noted in my review of the last book that this author has a formula and even though this book was completely different it still followed that formula. If you know the formula you know that the last 10% is where things get hairy. In the last 10% of this book I was completely at a loss to who would get things in that direction. That was definitely a surprise.

My mind while reading now knows that things will follow a progression which is fine because the characters are so awesome and it's like opening a present. What bugs me is that the conclusion of the story always comes in the epilogue. We find out the aftermath of what went hairy in the epilogue which is not really the point of an epilogue. The epilogue is kind of a stand alone. You should be able to finish the last chapter of the book and have a conclusion and the epilogue should just be an extra tidbit that lets you know how the characters got on after the conclusion. It should not itself hold the conclusion to the story.

That said, if you are into this series this is definitely one you should read.
