Confess
by Colleen Hoover
4 ⭐️ Auburn has recently moved to Texas to take back control over her life. When she accepts a right-place right-time gig at a studio for one night, she’s shocked to meet Owen and their mutual attraction becomes too powerful for them to bear, but Owens past and her own don’t allow them to have the future they want.
I really felt love for this book. I loved and cheered for Auburn and Owen each step of the way through their evolving “situation-ship” and cared deeply about them both. Auburns ability to persevere and overcome her circumstances and internal struggles was wonderful to read, with a steadfast committed Owen cheering her on. There were a few elements I could have done without, and there are some disturbing themes throughout, but overall it was a very good read and I would recommend it.
