Popular books always make me nervous, but From Blood and Ash lived up to the hype! I love a badass female character, and Poppy fits the bill. Not only does she rebel against the rules set for her (and help others in the process), she is a weapons expert! There's characters that you want to unalive, they are so disgusting. And characters you want to wrap in a blanket and protect from all the crap they go through. There's twists and turns. Things are never as simple as they seem. There's fun. And love (and spice). There's also grief and betrayal. And a whole lot of fighting. I highly suggest reading!
