this is my first foray into the world of comics/graphic novels and i’m glad i started here. while not as terrifying as some of the marketing made it out to be, this thing has that dread-filled vibe in spades. i was enraptured by the plot as soon as i got into the book and i didn’t put it down until i was completely finished (a rare feat for me). the story itself is filled to the brim with creativity and style. the art direction and styling is out of this world amazing! the murky, sedated, and brushstroked energy puts the story telling on a whole new level. i’m anxiously awaiting the next volume!!!
