I don’t know why exactly but it felt so painful to get myself to read this. The first section was the only interesting section that I read. It was hard to follow along and I didn’t realize the main characters were older than what I thought for the longest time. Usually I love short chapters but with these, it just felt like nothing was happening. I think the worst part is that none of the dialogue felt complete; none of the conversations felt like full conversations and I think that’s why I was left feeling lost the entire time. Frankly, this is way too long of a book to be feeling that way halfway through.
