Very engaging "flash fiction". Unlike many short story collections, this held my attention. This is masterful writing, as the worlds Herrera is able to create in just a few short pages needs to be seen (read) to be believed. At the same time, a few of the middle stories left me quickly after reading so the overall impact was not there. Nevertheless, I will definitely be picking up more from this author (and translator!)
