Book was some great epic fantasy that I’ve been craving since finishing Wheel of Time, Stormlight Archive, and Dandelion Dynasty. Don’t let the size of the book scare you away, it’s more like two books in one.
What I Liked -
The story - it felt like two books in one. The Escape and The Heist. Avoiding saying more to avoid spoilers.
The characters - they were fun to read and easy to get invested in. Seeing the growth in all of them… it was great!
The world building - the world was lived in. Between the different gods and the different environments, it was a well developed world.
What I didn’t like -
What a cliff hanger! The first time I’d read this, the second book hadn’t come out yet. I’m ready for it now.
