Love to Hate You by Jo Watson

I love Jo Watson. I love her books so much and I was not in any doubt that I wouldn't love this book as well.
I have been following Jo from her Wattpad days before her first novel, Burning Moon (UH-Mazing btw) was published and I feel such pride to see her dreams come true and publishing some of my favourite Rom-Com novels over the past few years. This book is the first I've read of hers outside her Destination Love series and it's strange to stay in one place throughout the story. There was a small trip to Kenya, but hey, we stayed in Africa this time.
So, Love To Hate You, is your favourite kind of "cheesy" cliché guilty pleasure book to devour. Jo Watson has a way with seamlessly adding humour to a scene without making it feel forced. Not many authors can do that - heck I struggle a lot with that!
The characters are lovable, although that boss of hers, phew, what a piece of work. But I lived for his confidence and he had me turning the pages like a mad woman in heat... (sorry not sorry).
Sera's two gay bonus dads were such a laugh to read about. I love them. I want them in my life.
I had kind of figured out the plot twist, but the hints that were dropped along the way were well-planted and not too obvious. You could also kind of tell what would happen around the climax (very fitting word) of the book, but I didn't have a problem with that. It made me able to notice the build leading up to it, but I have to say that I was a wee bit disappointed with how everything was solved at the end. It could have been a bit more harsh, but I get that everyone needed a good ending. I guess I'm a sucker for the realistic and sometimes brutal endings that doesn't always end happy.
All in all a great and quick read if you need to load up on that great office romance storyline.
