I thoroughly enjoyed this fascinating insight into the life of one of our great authors.
It kept me engaged throughout the telling of this amazing, ambitious, hard-working but also not all that likeable man.
I cannot comment as to how it compares to other biographies of Dickens but for me this is a well researched and well-written, easy readable book.
