Lucy Bowen has returned to Thundersville after college and plans to open a bakery. Her family has always been her number one supporter and that includes her brother’s best friend Cam. Lucy has secretly had a crush on him since she was a kid; but she knows that he only sees her as a kid sister. So, Lucy plans to move on from Cam but that’s easier said than done. Especially when he is always there to help her with her bakery. But as they spend more time together Cam starts to see Lucy in a new light. And maybe for the both of them to be happy they will have to take a chance on each other; no matter what others think.
This was adorable. Lucy was sweet if a bit too trusting. Cam was definitely a playboy who recognized it. I loved the two characters. The story itself was cute. I did wish there was a bit more, not sure what but something. Overall a cute quick read with no third act breakup.
