Summer at Oyster Bay by Jenny Hale

4.0

I love this time of year because there is an influx of easy to read books which are perfect for snuggling up with of an evening, or indeed on holiday in the sun. This book is one of those.

This book, however, isn't the simple boy meets girl and falls in love story. The author has written a book with a decent storyline throughout, she stays true to the characters and all the characters are extremely well written.

I fell in love with Emily's Gram straight away. Regardless of the fact that a decision she has made dictates the way the whole story goes, she did it for the best possible reasons at the time. She has always had the best of intentions where her granddaughters are concerned.

I love how the story turns out, it gave me an immediate awwww moment. I'd recommend this story to anyone who wants a nice easy read, but one with backbone.

Many thanks to Bookouture and Netgalley for providing a copy in exchange for an honest review.
