This was a great horror novella. I really like Kingfishers sprinkling of humour with a dark gothic tale. Alex was a great main character and I really liked learning about their background, and the history of Malaysia.
This book I think takes Poes original tale, and manages to tell its story while also still seeming loyal to the short story. I really look forward to what Kingfisher does next and I hope to love all their books.
