Bag in the Wind by Ted Kooser

1.0

Ordinarily, I read a few picture books to my preschooler at night while my husband reads a chapter book with our second grader. On a whim we switched last night and I read this book to my second grader. Thank goodness I didn't attempt it with the four-year-old. The pictures are beautiful but the story is far too long for a picture book. About halfway through I couldn't wait for it to end. And really, for a book about recycling, in my opinion it hardly showed the damage that a floating plastic bag can do to our environment. The best part of the book was the information on the back page about the damage bags cause and how many we use each year, etc.
