That Hideous Strength by C.S. Lewis

4.0

There is a lot going on in this book and it deserves a second reading and maybe some explanatory guide in order to understand all that Lewis was going for here. Overall, I appreciate the message he was seeking to convey through the imagery and storyline. That message seems to be something like: behold the grotesque logical outcome of a devotion to science (i.e. scientism) bolstered by a philosophical materialism.
