Book two in the Maximum Ride series (manga adaptation).
Even after rescuing Angel, the flock is still on the run. They are searching for the truth about their families while constantly being pursued by the erasers who want to bring them back to the lab. Max is helped on the quest by a voice in her head who claims to be a friend. But is the voice really helping Max, or leading her down the path to her own destruction.
As in book one, the artwork is beautiful, but my favorite part of the original, Max's snarky dialogue, is completely absent.
