What in the world???? A cliffhanger??? How will I survive a year not knowing. Maybe the author needs a housekeeper? Dog Walker? Landscaper? I don't want payment. I want hints of what is to come. I want a peak at book two, to drool, to devour. The story started slow. The story grabbed me. The story DID NOT let go. Yes, I could become her housekeeper just for a peak or twenty.

Lydia works at a wolf sanctuary in upstate New York. Something is going on. Wolves are being poisoned. The boss is acting out of character, not even showing for work. The vet has a thing for Lydia, obvious to everyone but her.

A drifter arrives looking for a job. Life gets interesting when he is hired as a groundskeeper. The reader is soon giving glimpses of what is going on. The build was intense. I thought I figured it out. I couldn't have been more wrong. I few chapters later, I thought I had really figured it out. I was wrong again. Mind Blown. The suspense was intense. The crimes were immense. The Danger had Lydia locking and relocking her doors and windows. She didn't care about herself. She cared about the wolves. Their safety was worth everything.
