reading tipping the velvet was an experience unlike any other. i thoroughly enjoyed each major part of nancy’s life. as an oyster girl, in an abusive relationship, and then finding herself and true love in a woman who truly shows herself with her. i’ve already seen the bbc show of this book’s story, and that experience was quite lovely. sarah waters’ writing skills are impeccable, and i hope to read more of her novels when i can.
