William Kent Krueger is a painter with a pen. He is descriptive without being pretentious. And he creates stories that are both plot driven and characters studies.  This literary mystery asks us to consider so much more than ‘who did it’.  It questions the costs of war, the definition of family, and the price of secrets to name just a few. It is well worth your time.
