Rogue Protocol by Martha Wells
4.0
I AM SO IN LOVE WITH MURDERBOT!!! It’s such a sarcastic, brilliant, enigmatic fucker—and yet it is the engine of this series! I can’t even imagine perceiving this universe through the eyes of the humans, solely through bot-eyes.
Speaking of humans: those in this particular volume I found rather dull. They were forgettable, their conflict a bit overwrought, and their reliance on Murderbot a bit fraught.
But see, this is the genius of these books. Because I’m not certain whether I’m perceiving these humans and their circumstances this way due to MY perception or Murderbot’s.
Rude. Just fuckin—rude.
Heartily anticipate volume four!! (AND THEN FULL LENGTH NOVELS, BABY!)
