The Forward Line: For the love of the game and the game of love. by K.G. Erin, K.G. Erin

3.0

Could have been better, could also have been worse

I honestly rarely take chances on stuff rated under 4 star averages anymore cause I ended up DNFing them so frequently. However, I decided to give this one a go because of hockey and RH? Heck yeah.

It wasn't the most awful thing I've ever taken a chance on, especially considering that I actually finished it. I did find myself entertained despite its issues, hence finishing it and giving 3 stars instead of lower.
There are a lot of errors in this book. It desperately needed maybe a couple more rounds of editing AT LEAST.
The characters felt a tad 2D at times. And some issues would go ignored. Like there were some icky sexist things said by, I think Callum early on, and I think even Jace said some things that made me side eye him, but that's never really addressed.

Also the fact that she forgave Callum and let him back in on the relationship despite what he did? He hadn't even been a part of it for long. And he did such a massive thing. And didn't start sleeping with her until after that lie and started. I maybe would have been cordial around him for the sake of Jace and Shawn, but nah Callum would have been out. Lol, I don't care how dreamy his eyes are.
There was also conversation about her watching Jace and Shawn together, then it was made into a cutscene moment, and I felt robbed lmfao

Also, it's one of those instances that I wish I hadn't read the epilogue because it only frustrated me. At least this time, it was because it was just kind of... nothing.
