Never Name the Dead by D.M. Rowell

5.0

I loved so much about this book. It asks questions and touches on important topics, but at the heart is the main character Mud, caught in a web of tension between her childhood home in Oklahoma and her adult life in Silicon Valley. She returns home after being summoned by her grandfather, a prominent Kiowa elder, and discovers that he has disappeared. Just when I thought I knew where this book was going, it surprised me. I can't wait for the next book in the Mud Sawpole series.
