Books written by Elizabeth Acevedo just always blow me away! Her writing is one I never seem to care for going into it, but then once I get into the swing of things it gets so much more interesting. This book was unlike any other I have read with content and relationships among the characters. I always highly recommend Elizabeth Acevedo’s writing for those of you who want to get back into reading because it usually only takes me a few hours to read her novels-in-verse and they always have fantastic topics! I will be reading her first novel With the Fire on High soon enough if I can get through the many unread books on my shelf.
