I wanted to like this book, I really did, but there were just too many things that didn’t add up. The “I have to kill you but I’m in love with you trope” was the best part. The overall continuity of the plot gives whiplash, nothing makes sense. With this fantasy being over 500 pages, it feels like a lot to slog thru and many repetitive points thru the 2 POVs.
Would I read book 2 when it comes out? Yet to be determined.
