I wanted to like this a lot more than I did because of all the negative reviews. Most of them were about the excessive CSA, but thats why we heed trigger warnings. One thing I'm gonna say is this author has BALLS. We went there. We really went there.
I ended up being left wanting more despite the very brave writing. Not more gore or more torture, maybe more character development? Maybe more reason for why this torture is happening other than for fun. I suppose that's how it is irl sometimes though, people do screwed up things just for fun.
I don't know. I like the author (I've read this and their short in Scraps) and I'm excited to see what they work on in the future.
