Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides

5.0

Tied with "Fear of Flying" as the best book that I've read in 2009. This epic is delightful, witty, funny and tragic. The voice of Cal is enchanting while sprawing three generations and covering the history of the 20th century. Its expanse, grandiose, at times self-serving, and accessible. Eugenides seemlessly interweaves issues of incest, gender, sex, race, immigration and of course love in a way that is touching and relatable. PLEASE READ NOW!
