The pages become more vibrant and colorful when the focus is on Indigenous culture, and I think that's beautiful.
A little rant (not about the book):
99% of goodreads reviews are people saying that the writing had shortcomings because it didn’t explain every Indigenous related thing to them and they didn’t know what was happening. If you don’t know something, just look it up. The author literally gives you THREE pages with resources at the end of the graphic novel.
White people centering themselves and expecting everything to cater to them is a fucking poison.
