I was skeptical because I came into this knowing that it is based on Tezuka Osamu's Astro Boy (Tetsuwan Atomu) series-- I appreciate Tezuka's work but Astro Boy is not among my favorites. Pluto has beautiful artwork and creates complex and compelling characters that make readers question assumptions about society and humanity in the best way. I'm eagerly planning to continue on in this series, and to explore other works by Urasawa.
